SPORT | Ysgol Harri Tudur U16s Hockey Team County Champions

The U16 Girls Hockey team are officially County Champions as of yesterday afternoon. The girls played exceptionally well, considering the past 18 months there haven’t been many/if any sports fixtures.

The girls won their first game of the pool 1-0 against Preseli (who usually win this tournament). This gave them a massive confidence boost going into their final game of the pool. The girls were down 2-0 with 10 minutes to go, they fought back hard against Tenby to draw 2-2, where they then had to travel to Milford to play the final.

The girls showed guts and determination to see themselves crowned County Champions, in the last minute of extra time with a goal from Jess Mellalieu to seal the victory (1-0).

If you see the following students, please congratulate them as they will now be going on to represent Pembrokeshire in the Dyfed round.
